Why we built this
Splitting a bill shouldn't require downloading an app, creating an account, or handing your spending habits over to a company. Most existing tools ask for a signup before you can even add your first expense — which is a strange amount of friction for something as simple as figuring out who owes whom for dinner. BillSplit Calcs exists to remove that friction entirely: open the page, add your group, and you have an answer in under a minute.
What we built
BillSplit Calcs is a free online bill split calculator that handles the situations a basic calculator can't: uneven orders, tax and tip, weighted shares for people who spent more, and settlement plans that minimize the number of payments needed to make everyone even. Alongside the core bill splitter, Global Split handles recurring household and trip expenses across a whole month, and the tool supports 150+ currencies and a 10+ language interface so it works the same whether your group is splitting dollars, euros, or rupees.
Our approach to privacy
There's no account system because there's no server database behind this tool. Your group, your expenses, and your settlement history are stored locally in your own browser. If you want to share a split with your group, the data is encoded directly into a link or an exported file — it never passes through or sits on a BillSplit Calcs server.
